Despite being an awful long way from Hollywood, the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales has established a thriving film industry, and the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective is about to find out how we can follow in their footsteps. And maybe carve our own path along the way.
Ken Crouch, CEO of Screenworks (the industry body largely responsible for region’s success, and widely recognised as one of the main drivers of screen industry development in regional Australia) will be joining us for an evening of conversation.
Ken will focus on the screen-related development and networking opportunities that Screenworks provides – some of which are already available for screen-based professionals on the Sunshine Coast. The floor will then open up for a Q&A session so that attendees can engage directly with him, as well as with Screen Queensland VP of Content Samantha Laidlaw.
Attendees will be encouraged to keep the conversation flowing with networking before and after the main event, providing ample opportunity to connect with other talented professionals in the region. The evening is open to local screen-based industry professionals, industry service suppliers, and those engaged with or interested in active production, post-production or screen industry development.
The SCSC highly encourages all current and aspiring screen industry professionals to attend.
Thanks to the Peregian Digital Hub and Screen Queensland for supporting this event.
